1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Hacker Keyboard ("the App"), published by MobileByteSensei ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App you agree to them. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.

2. What the App does

Hacker Keyboard is a keyboard replacement for Android and iOS. It provides a standard QWERTY keyboard rendered over a background image of your choice — either one of our bundled themes or a photo from your own library — with controls for background dimming, key opacity, key colour and font.

The App does not provide messaging, storage, or cloud services. It draws a keyboard; the apps you type into are not ours and are governed by their own terms.

3. Your content and your responsibilities

• Your photo stays yours. When you set a photo as your keyboard background you grant us no rights over it whatsoever. It is copied into the App's private storage on your device and used only to draw your keyboard. We never receive it. We claim no licence to it.
• You are responsible for what you type. The App is an input tool. What you write, and where you write it, is your responsibility.
• You must have the right to use the image you choose. Do not set an image you are not permitted to use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App except where such a restriction is prohibited by law; redistribute or resell the App or its bundled artwork as your own; circumvent the purchase mechanism for paid features; or use the App to break the law.

The bundled theme artwork is licensed to us for use inside the App. It is not licensed to you for extraction, redistribution, or use elsewhere.

5. Pricing and purchases

The App is free to download. It includes a curated set of free themes, and the "use my own photo" feature is free.

A single one-time in-app purchase ("Unlock All") unlocks the PRO themes and advanced effects. It is a one-off payment, not a subscription — there is nothing to cancel and no recurring charge. Purchases are processed by Google Play (Android) or Apple (iOS); we never see or handle your payment details.

"Restore Purchases" re-applies an existing entitlement on a new device, provided you use the same store account.

6. Intellectual property

The App, its interface, its code, and its bundled artwork are owned by MobileByteSensei or its licensors and are protected by copyright. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on devices you own or control. No other rights are granted.

7. Third-party services

The App uses Google Firebase Analytics, and Google Play Billing or Apple In-App Purchase for the one-time upgrade. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms and privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what each receives.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, app, or language.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded, including consumer guarantees under applicable local law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the App in the preceding twelve months, or the minimum permitted by applicable law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful use of the App or from your use of an image you did not have the right to use.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, where MobileByteSensei is based, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction — except where applicable consumer law entitles you to bring proceedings in your country of residence or under its law, in which case those rights are unaffected.

12. Dispute resolution

Please contact us first at mobilebytesensei@gmail.com — most issues are resolved quickly and informally.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by disabling the keyboard and uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms. Your one-time purchase remains governed by the refund rules of the store you bought it from.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms as the App changes. The "Last Updated" date will move, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be surfaced in the App or its store listing.
